Gro Alliance adds Organic Seed Division Manager

Gro Alliance, the nation’s largest, independently owned contract seed corn and soybean production company, announces that Jeff Block (picture) has been hired as its organic seed division manager.

Jeff brings more than ten years of organic seed experience in a variety of crops and a true commitment to generating the best yields and quality in an organic production system.  Prior to joining Gro Alliance, Jeff was a member of the sweet corn breeding research team at HM.Clause and adds additional breeding knowledge to Gro Alliance’s expanding custom corn breeding and nursery services business.

“Our organic seed production business continues to grow and adding Jeff to the team will ensure we can continue to expand our organic seed business to meet that increasing demand,” said Jim Schweigert, President of Gro Alliance.

Founded in 1941, Gro Alliance is the nation’s largest independently owned contract seed corn production company. The ISO 9001:2008 certified company produces GMO, non-GMO, organic, popcorn and soybean seed as well as provides nursery and custom breeding services for companies around the world. Its headquarters are in Cuba City, Wis. with additional corn seed locations in Howe, Ind. and Mount Pulaski, Ill. It also has soybean seed operations in Mount Pulaski and Breckenridge, Minn.
