Dear SIPA Members and Supporters,
I am pleased to announce an update to the February 2, 2016 Technical Education Unit the Seed Innovation and Protection Alliance (SIPA) is hosting in conjunction with the American Seed Trade Association Flower and Vegetable meeting in Anaheim, California.
Session on European IP Update
Katherine Dutmer, Global Manager Legal, IP and Registration with Enza Zaden, will be providing a session on current EU IP developments including the International Licensing Platform, the Broccoli/Tomato II case, and the EU Parliament recent limitations in patents on plants (other than the EU Patent Court decision).
The technical education unit will include sessions on the America Invents Act, patent and PVP labeling, trademarks and plant varietal names, EU IP Developments, and university policies related to the protection licensing agreements in the vegetable industry.
