Takii’s 180th anniversary logo

Kyoto, Japan
May 28,2015

Following the introduction of Takii’s logo in What’s New last week, now we would like to introduce another logo, specially created for commemorating our 180th anniversary as the 2nd part of Takii’s profile series.

Takii 180th Anniversary Logo

As shown above, the logo consists of the text “180th anniversary” framed in a colorful outline along with our 180th anniversary slogan “Creating Tomorrow Today” placed below. The colorful outline is modeled in the shape of a seed and its colors symbolize nutrients contained in vegetables. For example, red for lycopene and purple for anthocyanin.

The logo represents our mission to contribute to society a stable supply of high quality seeds, supporting the world’s food supply. With the global concern over a sporadic, abnormal climate and demand for safety and security of food, Takii knows it is important to create better vegetable varieties with higher disease tolerance and better nutrition. This is achieved through Takii’s reliable and innovative breeding technology, accumulated over its 180 years, supporting health and a better life for people around the world.

This logo expresses our desire to continue developing excellent varieties for a healthy future.
