Sorghum U will be coming to Salina, Kansas; Enid, Oklahoma; and Perryton, Texas, in January 2015.
The popular farmer-focused event provides resources to producers that help them make informed production decisions, and Sorghum U highlights how grain sorghum can contribute to an operation’s profitability. This day-long event is a balanced mix of new and experienced grain sorghum producers.
The first event is set to take place at the Salina Bicentennial Center Jan. 6, 2015. The second event heads south to Enid, Oklahoma, at the Enid Convention Center Jan. 9, 2015. The Texas Panhandle will host the third event in Perryton at Frank Phillips College Jan. 28, 2015.
Industry insiders are set to present information on a wide variety of topics including marketing opportunities, basic and advanced agronomics, irrigation management and other farm-level practices that will help increase producer profitability.
The program will encourage informal discussions between industry insiders and both experienced and new growers alike. The event will provide breakout sessions on specific topics tailored to each geographical region.
