Integra Seed releases new hybrids for 2010

San Francisco, California, USA
October 19, 2009

A dynamic year of research and development for Integra Fortified Seed has led to a 2010 lineup that reinforces Integra’s goal of providing producers with the best trait technologies available. The company’s unique Manifest™ Treatment System fortifies every seed for improved seedling development. And their hybrids and varieties all start with proven components like Roundup Ready®, Roundup Ready® 2 Yield, YieldGard®, Genuity™ SmartStax™ and Clearfield®.

“It’s been a great year, and this is our finest lineup yet,” said Troy Johnson, national director of seed technology for Wilbur-Ellis Company, owner of Integra Seed. “When you have the best trait technologies with superior genetics, then match the product to local conditions, including soil type and growing environment, the keys for success are in place. In addition, all these new hybrids and varieties share the same quality with the rest of the Integra line, one that sets them apart from the rest of the industry – they are all fortified with our patented Manifest Treatment System.”

Integra chooses the best trait and genetic components for each crop and region, and then fortifies every seed with Manifest™, a unique treatment system that improves seedling development and makes them the only fortified seed on the market. New in 2010, Integra will feature the latest traits from Monsanto, that are seen in hybrids like SmartStax™ corn:

  • 9460SS is a very good yielding hybrid with early flowering for its maturity. It has very good test weight, roots and stalk strength. And it works well in the following soil types: poorly drained clay loams/well drained clay loams/silt loam.
  • 9481SS is another very good yielding hybrid with good early plant vigor, stalk and roots. It performs consistently and is late flowering for its maturity. The best soil types are: poorly drained clay loams/well drained clay loams/silt loam soils.
  • 9532SS, an excellent yielding hybrid for its, maturity, it also has very good early plant vigor, a consistent girthy ear, very good stalk and responds to high management. Soil types for this hybrid are: sandy loam/well drained clay loam/silt loam soils.
