Wilbur-Ellis Company announced that it has partnered with AgriFlite Services, Inc., an aerial application business based in Wakarusa, Ind., to expand its services into this market. The focus of this partnership is large independent growers who want to maximize their crop productivity using cutting edge technology and utilizing Wilbur-Ellis’ crop protection products, and safety and regulatory expertise. AgriFlite Services will work directly with the company’s Watervliet, Mich. branch, to provide aerial application technology and support to growers in Indiana.
AgriFlite Services has served customers in northern Indiana providing aerial application solutions for local grower managed farmlands since 1973, and is one of the largest aerial application businesses in the Midwest. AgriFlite Services is also known for introducing several innovative technological developments to improve application techniques within the industry.
“We are excited to work with AgriFlite Services’ experienced team of agricultural aviators to expand our application services into the Indiana market,” says Grant Hart, Wilbur-Ellis Watervliet branch manager. “AgriFlite Services’ innovative expertise and technology will further enhance our capabilities to serve local growers.”
Through the partnership, Wilbur-Ellis and AgriFlite Services will provide independent growers with logistical support through purchasing, storage, mixing and application. Customers will have access to advanced technologies that streamline crop protection and fertilization processes such as AgSync, a central dispatch system, AgriSite, a scouting mobile app, and VeriFly GPS systems. Text messaging, and use reports that include verification flight lines and complete field records is also part of AgriFlite Services’ support.
“We look forward to working with Wilbur-Ellis’ expert staff in Watervliet and utilizing their high quality products for both existing and new customers,” said David Eby, owner and president of AgriFlite. “We continue to see a growing need for more innovative and efficient solutions for aerial spraying, and Wilbur-Ellis will be crucial in helping us meet these demands.”
