New strategic partnership between AUSVEG and Terranova Seeds

Australia
January 5, 2010

AUSVEG CEO, Mr Richard Mulcahy and Terranova Seeds General Manager, Mr Tony Higgs, today jointly announced a new partnership between AUSVEG, the vegetable industry’s national peak industry body, and leading specialist vegetable seed company, Terranova Seeds.

Terranova will partner with AUSVEG for the National Convention and Trade Show on the Gold Coast in May and will work together with AUSVEG to provide solutions for growers throughout the Australian vegetable and potato industry.

AUSVEG represents the interests of 9,000 Australian vegetable and potato growers.

“Terranova Seeds produces a large variety of quality vegetable seeds, ensuring the high quality we expect from Australian produce. We are proud to partner with them for the AUSVEG Convention,” Mr Mulcahy said.

“Terranova’s specialised technical staff service Australian farmers around the country and offer full support to the Australian vegetable growing industry,” he said.

The AUSVEG National Convention, Trade Show and National Awards for Excellence will be held at Conrad Jupiters on the Gold Coast, Queensland from the 27th to 30th of May 2010.

Mr Mulcahy said the AUSVEG Convention would be unlike any other event staged in the vegetable industry and Terranova would feature prominently in the trade show and events.

“The new format Convention will be far more extensive than previous industry conferences. It will be both exciting and informative with the whole industry represented,” he said.

“It will be family friendly, with activities for children and special events for young growers, and will feature an exciting social program, with breakfasts and information sessions featuring prominent speakers. The events will group like-minded attendees together so they can obtain information most relevant to them in a warm and relaxed setting,” he said.

Terranova will be one of 70 companies displaying goods and service at the Convention. The Trade Show will provide attendees with a broad view of the Australian vegetable and potato growing industry as it currently stands.
