This summer, Westrup had the pleasure of welcoming Mr. Maeda and Mr. Yokokawa, from the Japanese company Toei Boeki (founded in 1963), to a visit at the headquartera of Westrup. Toei Boeki deals with single machines, mainly pre-cleaning and fine cleaning machines, applied in large-scale projects. Since 1972, Westrup and Toei Boeki have been working closely together to deliver optimum solutions to the Japanese market. Based on this successful business relationship, future projects were discussed during the visit.

Mr. Yokokawa (Toei Boeki), Mr. Maeda (Toei Boeki) and Leif Goldbeck (Product Manager, Westrup).
In a nostalgic talk between Mr. Maeda and Leif Goldbeck, Product Manager at Westrup, the first Westrup machine ever sold to the Japanese market was brought up, and it turns out that the machine, which was sold in 1972, still works smoothly. The machine is a SI-70 pre-cleaner, that has been implemented at the Japanese rice milling factory, Ishkwa Kenbei, to clean brown rice.
