Two cotton varieties from Xinjiang Academy of Agriculture becoming leading and popularized all over China

Recently the Ministry of Agriculture released 2010 leading varieties and key technology. Two varieties of upland cotton "Xinluzao 33" and" Xinluzao 42" of early-matured were successfully selected for their excellent comprehensive traits.
"Xinluzao 33" (former code-named "Ken 4432") was registered by Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in February of 2007, and it was registered by the State in November of 2007. In 2009 Ministry of Agriculture named it as one of the 9 leading cotton varieties all over China. In 2008, on the 19th Villiage of 149 Farm, the yield of ginned cotton is 281.6KG/mu, now 600 mu started to use this variety with accumulated economic profit of 840 million yuan. For this variety, it has good early-matured trait, high yield potential, fiber is very qualified, and it has strong resistance, suitable for mechanical harvesting, and many other advantages. It was well popularized in the North and part of early-planted area of the South of Xinjiang and Hexi Corridor Area of Gansu Province.
"Xinluzao 42" (formerly code-named "Ken 62") was named in February 2009 by Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, now it is promoted over 200,000 mu and achieves added value of over 31.20 million yuan and it is very popular among farmers. This early maturing variety is with high yield potential, good fiber quality, resistance to Fusarium wilt and Verticillium wilt. It is suitable for early-matured cotton area in the North of Xinjiang.
