Due to continued growth, SGS North America is pleased to announce the hiring of three national sales positions. In order to better serve and understand regional needs each person will be located in and focused on a different region of the country.
Bryan Miller has been hired as the Feed Testing Services Developmental Sales Representative – Midwest Region. Bryan’s service area will center around analytical testing services including proximates, antibiotics, pesticide residue, microbiology, and contaminates to commodity traders, feed production companies, feed ingredient suppliers, animal feeding operations, and pet food companies.
Bryan received his Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science from Iowa State University and his Master’s in Ruminant Nutrition from the University of Kentucky. Bryan has extensive experience in animal nutrition and feed manufacturing and will continue to reside near St. Louis, Missouri.
James Newberry has been hired as the Seed Testing Services Developmental Sales Representative – West Coast Region. James will direct his efforts towards forging seed export and domestic testing partnerships in the agricultural, forage, turf, and vegetable seed industry throughout Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona, and Idaho.
James received his Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture and Agronomy from Iowa State University and his Master’s in Horticulture from Colorado State University. He has most recently been employed as an Area Sales Manager and Regional Agronomist for a seed company. He will be relocating to the Spokane, Washington area.
Brett Roberts was hired in 2011 as a Regional Agricultural Sales Representative and is based out of northern Indiana. Brett focuses on seed services sales to corn, soybean, sorghum, breeding, production, and retail entities. His region is central and eastern US, and he also handles lab services involving wheat, rice, and cotton testing, as well as ISTA and AQIS export testing and sampling.
Brett received his B.S. degree in Biology from Iowa State University. He has several years of sales experience along with a diverse agricultural work history.
SGS Brookings is an internationally-accredited (ISTA) laboratory that is able to issue ISTA Orange and Blue certificates, necessary when exporting seed. SGS Brookings is also an AQIS-approved laboratory that provides seed sampler training workshops to help facilitate companies conducting seed exports.
