Seed Hawk to change operations in Australia

Langbank, Saskatoon, Canada
September 21, 2011

Due to increased Australian interest in Seed Hawk and Sectional Control™ technology, Seed Hawk Inc. will take over the sales administration of Seed Hawk products in Australia as of January 1, 2012. Seed Hawk Inc.’s partner Väderstad Verken AB of Sweden, has decided to make a change in their administration of this market and will close their entity Väderstad Australia PTY on December 31, 2011.

“We are looking forward to the continued growth of Seed Hawk’s presence in Australia,” says Pat Beaujot, President of Seed Hawk Inc. Seed Hawk has been exporting its zero-till equipment to Australia since 2005. The equipment has demonstrated the industry leading emergence in Australian fields that it has in Canada since production began in 1992.

According to Trent Meyer, Director of International Sales for Seed Hawk Inc., Seed Hawk has secured a significant importer in Landpower Australia Pty to serve the Australian market that will allow them to better serve growers while expanding their market share. During the transition period, the company aims to minimize the impact on the Australian dealer network and, ultimately, Australian farmers.
