Buhler Sortex performance in competitive international markets has been recognised by its winning of a Queen's Award for Enterprise for the sixth time. The award, in the International Trade category, follows those gained in 1968, 1972, 1987 and 2005. In 2001 Buhler Sortex won the award for innovation.

The Queen's Awards for Enterprise is a programme for businesses that deliver outstanding perform-ance in international trade, innovation or sustainable development. Established by Royal Warrant in November 1965, they are the highest official recognition of the achievement of British businesses. They are made on the advice of the Prime Minister, guided by an expert committee of leading government and business figures.
