Vanaf de tweede helft van 2024 vervangen we geleidelijk de ELISA-toetsen op plantmateriaal door PCR-toetsen. De omzetting gebeurt per gewasgroep. Vanwege deze omzetting werken we aan een wijziging van de tariefstructuur.
We kiezen voor een uniforme toetsmethode
Zodra we alle virustoetsen voor een familie (of gewas) met PCR kunnen toetsen, kunt u de ELISA-toets hiervoor niet meer aanvragen. Door per familie van ELISA naar PCR over te gaan, is het voor iedereen duidelijk met welke uniforme methode we de toetsen uitvoeren.

Potyvirus-toets vormt uitzondering
De Potyvirus-toets vormt voorlopig nog een uitzondering. Deze toets omvat een hele grote groep virussen. Daardoor is de ontwikkeling van een PCR-toets erg complex en duurt de ontwikkeling langer. Voor de Potyvirus-toets blijft nog steeds een apart monster nodig.
We wijzigen de tariefstructuur
We zijn ons ervan bewust dat de omzettingen van ELISA- naar PCR-toetsen consequenties hebben voor de toetstarieven. We werken daarom aan een nieuwe tariefstructuur. Zodra deze definitief is, maken we de nieuwe tarieven bekend. Daarna kunt u de ELISA-toets per gewas (of familie) niet meer aanvragen.
Naktuinbouw Laboratoria ondersteunt de sector
Om de sector te ondersteunen blijft Naktuinbouw Laboratoria nieuwe PCR-toetsen ontwikkelen. Deze toetsen ondersteunen een juiste diagnose op planten met symptomen of juist het controleren op en garanderen van vrijheid van bepaalde pathogenen.
PCR tests replaces ELISA-tests
From the second half of 2024, Naktuinbouw will gradually replace the ELISA tests on plant material for PCR tests. The conversion is done by family. Due to this conversion, we are working on changing the fee structure.
We opt for a uniform testing method
Once alle virus tests for a family (or crop) can be tested using PCR, the ELISA test can no longer be requested for this. By switching from ELISA to PCR per family, it is clear to everyone with which uniform method the tests will be performed.

Potyvirus test is an exception
The Potyvirus test remains an exception for the time being. This test covers a very large group of viruses. This makes the development of a PCR test very complex and takes longer. A separate sample is still required for the Potyvirus test.
We are changing the fee structure
We are aware that the conversions from ELISA to PCR tests have consequences for the test fees. We are therefore working on a new fee structure. We will announce it as soon as it is final. After that, you can no longer request the ELISA test per crop (or family).
Naktuinbouw Laboratories supports the sector
To support the sector, Naktuinbouw Laboratories continues to develop new PCR tests. These tests support a correct diagnosis of plants with symptoms or checking for and guaranteeing freedom from certain pathogens.
