In memory of John McShane, Stover Seed

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of John McShane, Stover Seed on April 18, 2023.
Over the course of his career, John was an active member of many trade organizations, including the American Seed Trade Association (Lawn Seed Division), the California Seed Association (president in 2002-2003), the Pacific Seedsmen Association (president in 2000), California Department of Food & Agriculture Seed Advisory Board (past president for multiple terms), and many others.
John is survived by his wife Carol McShane, son John McShane III, and daughter Shannon McShane Robbins. In lieu of flowers, his family asks that you consider a donation in his name to lung cancer research at City of Hope.
