The National Industrial Hemp Council (NIHC) has been awarded 2022 Technical Assistance for Specialty Crops (TASC) program by the Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) to conduct a regulatory and management assessment in Europe which will result in the establishment of a database of all regulatory requirements for the importation of industrial hemp into Europe. The resulting database and recommendations will benefit our members gain access to the European market.

NIHC will retain a research project representative, consultant, research agency or team of experts to conduct the assessment and establish a database of regulatory requirements. After the establishment of the database, NIHC will work with trade negotiators, consultants, and other trade access experts to create a strategic approach for mitigating any cost-prohibitive regulatory requirements.
