Solinftec, a technology company built exclusively for agriculture, is reinforcing its commitment to the principles of environmental, social and corporate governance responsibility, with the promotions of Guilherme Guiné to Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO) and Murilo Fernandes to Chief People Officer (CPO).
Prior to his appointment as CSO, Guiné served as Solinftec’s head of product development. In this role, he was responsible for securing Solinftec’s International Certification of Sustainability and Environmental Responsibility in March 2020, granted by the Control Union. To achieve this certification, Solinftec proved that its technology enabled customers to avoid more than 680,000 tons of CO2 in five years.
Now, in his new role as CSO, Guiné will focus on delivering novel products for customers that bring new impacts.
"We know that every producer wants to be more sustainable, and one of the ways they can achieve that is by adopting technologies that help them on this journey,” said Guiné. “We are focused on creating a viable path for producers toward sustainability for their farm and for the future of our industry.”
With a focus on creating an increasingly inclusive culture and improving employee engagement, Murilo Fernandes – who has been running Solinftec's People area for a year now as Director of Human Resources – has assumed the role of CPO for Solinftec.
"Having the 'People' area actively participating in the company's strategic process showcases Solinftec’s understanding that its people are a central part of all of the company’s major decisions," said Fernandes.
According to Fernandes, values such as transparency, independence and impartiality are fundamental to establishing trust with employees, customers and the market in general. His focus in the near future will be on employee training programs and leadership development, diversity and organizational culture.
Earlier this year, to sustain Solinftec’s rapid growth, directors Thiago Rodrigues and Henrique Nomura were promoted to Chief Operating Officer – Latin America and Chief Technology Officer, respectively. Additionally, Lais Braido joined the company as Chief Financial Officer in late 2020.
