Australia

With over 200 trials established by our Market Development team across the country at approximately 90 locations this winter, there are plenty of opportunities to visit these trials to see the performance of several of the soon-to-be launched products.

This year there are six key products being trialed, with a focus being Mateno® Complete, our soon to be launched herbicide, for grass and broadleaf weed control. This powerful new herbicide is creating a lot of excitement amongst agronomists.

When discussing the 2021 program of work, Rick Horbury, Market Development Lead for Bayer, commented, "

We are thrilled to be showcasing Mateno Complete: an exciting new grass weed and broadleaf weed pre-emergence and early post-emergence herbicide to the industry.

This powerful herbicide contains a unique combination of three active ingredients, including aclonifen, a new herbicide mode of action for Australian cereal growers. When applied at the Incorporated by Sowing (IBS) or Early Post Emergence (EPE) timings it delivers exceptional levels of weed control.”

"We have tested Mateno Complete extensively across a range of weeds, soil types, environmental conditions and grower machinery. We are confident that Mateno Complete will perform as well for growers as it has in the hundreds of trials we have conducted to date."

“In addition to Mateno Complete, this season’s trial program also includes a novel, soon-to-be launched, versatile post-emergence broadleaf weed herbicide, as well as trials highlighting the benefits of Aviator® Xpro®, Velocity®, EverGol® Energy and TruFlex® canola at various locations around the country.”

"Our Market Development Team has established trials across a diverse range of sites across Australia to test and demonstrate their best agronomic fit to advisors and growers. It’s important to trial all products extensively before launch, and when you buy a Bayer product you know that there is a breadth of knowledge behind it. You can’t build that confidence with a handful of trial locations” Rick stated.

Contact your local Bayer representative to find a trial location near you.
