Registration is open for the ISF Virtual Congress 2021

Some weeks ahead of the pre-summit of the UN Food Systems Summit 2021 and with the world still in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, building resilient food systems takes the center stage. Our current situation highlights the important role of seed to ensure the harvests of tomorrow: how do we leverage the widely recognized role of seed as an essential good and a key contributor to agricultural production to the discussion on future food systems?
With focus on this, the International Seed Federation (ISF), as the voice of the private seed sector, is continuing its engagement. In July, we are organizing a virtual congress that brings together industry leaders and external partners in a dynamic setup of international panels, keynote speeches, showcase of innovations, and live interactions – open to all via an online platform.
Therefore, I am pleased to invite you to the ISF Virtual Congress on 5-7 July 2021.
The link between food systems, sustainable agriculture, plant breeding innovation, and seed movement will be discussed by a line-up of industry leaders and experts in a three-day virtual event open to all:
5th July, Mon
Opening Ceremony, 13:00-14:00 CEST
Panel session 1: “UN Food Systems Summit and the many roles of seed”, 14:00-15:00 CEST
6th July, Tue
Panel session 2: “International seed trade and COVID-19: Key learnings for the future”, 11:00-12:30 CEST
Panel session 3: “Addressing emerging plant diseases to achieve resilient food systems”, 13:00-14:30 CEST
7th July, Wed
Panel session 4: “The future of the seed business – Our contribution to resilience”, 13:00-14:30 CEST
These sessions, along with several side events hosted by our sponsors, will be held live from a studio and streamed on Channel World Seed. All these will be available on our congress website, where you will have access to the broadcast of the international panels and sponsored content and will be able to participate in the live discussions. Other elements of the virtual platform include a live chat, forum wall, resource center, and an area to create a profile. Participation is at no cost to you.
