Seed enhancement company Incotec is taking part in the first virtual edition of America’s largest seed industry conference, CSS & Seed Expo 2020 on 7-9 December 2020. Incotec is providing part of the conference educational program with a presentation entitled ‘Seed Treatment Application and New Developments Coming to the Industry’. There will also be a virtual Incotec booth where delegates can chat with seed technology experts and download information on Incotec’s products and technologies. Included in the booth will be information on two new film coating products for North America and the latest information on microplastic-free seed coatings.

 

Two new products

 

Disco Ag Clear L-470 is developed to overcome the challenges of coating the typical waxy surface of corn seed. The new product, that will be available in a limited supply from January 2021, has good abrasion resistance and dust control while still allowing wet or dry seeds to flow easily through processing equipment and planters.

 

 

Disco Silver L-1901 for soy seed is brought to the market to meet the demand for excellent cosmetic appearance combined with good flow and dust control for safe and efficient processing.

 

Microplastic-free seed treatment
 

In anticipation of regulatory restrictions on microplastics in seed treatments, Incotec is developing a new generation of microplastic-free film coats. The first of these have recently been launched in Europe where legislation is expected to be enforced first. At the CSS and Seed Expo event, information on the latest developments around microplastics in seed treatment is available from the Incotec team, in the booth and in the Seed Treatment Tour presentation.
