Gro Alliance adds Lead Seed Corn Nursery Technician at its Howe, Indiana location

Howe, Indiana, USA
April 23, 2020

Gro Alliance announces the hiring of Victoria Toney as the lead seed corn nursery technician at its Howe, IN location.  Toney will also take on account management responsibilities for seed corn clients during the packaging season.

Toney’s seed industry career started at DuPont Pioneer where she worked on the maize product development team and in various research roles in Constantine, Michigan.  Toney also worked at the soils testing lab at Michigan State while she was an undergrad there.

“Victoria’s research experience helps us expand the nursery services we can offer to seed corn breeders and germplasm developers at our Howe, Indiana location,” said Jim Schweigert, president of Gro Alliance.

“This role with Gro Alliance is a unique opportunity for me to help seed corn breeders turn their vision into reality,” said Toney. “It’s exciting to work with a growing company that still retains the family-style culture and approach to its clients.”

Toney earned a BA in agricultural science from Oregon State University and a commercial horticulture operations certificate from Michigan State University.
