Australia
March 23, 2020

We are reaching out to our extended Seed Force community to share with you the steps we are taking to ensure we protect our people, our customers, and your experience with our brand.
At this time, we are thinking about you, your families, friends, your livelihoods and our lifeline in rural and regional Australia during this challenging and unprecedented time.
We, like you are operating in a very fluid situation, where best laid plans today, seem redundant before effective roll out and implementation can occur, but we are all faced with the same challenge.
Whilst adhering to the guidelines provided from the World Health Organisation and Australian Federal Government, Seed Force has the benefit of an extensive global network, in which we can take some guidance and experience in an attempt to foresee and take actions in advance of what may be considered next on our continent by the Australian Federal Government, to try and stem the spread and minimise the impact of this pandemic.
As a result, we would like to share our point of view to keep you abreast of the measures and precautions we have and will be implementing.
Our sites and our service
At this stage our sites remain open and operating and we have implemented and are practicing the measures recommended by the Australian Federal Government and the World Health Organisation to minimise risk of exposure.
We have introduced the following risk mitigation strategies in an effort to continue serving you:
- Cancelled all international travel of our staff
- Cancelled all international visitations to our Australian business, until further notice
- Cancelled all domestic air travel and encouraging all our staff to avoid public transport and highly trafficked public areas
- Have cancelled all requirement for our staff to attend staff meetings and functions face to face until further notice – as such it is now all electronic communication
- Cancelled all face to face appointments with external parties
- Have conducted a phased implementation of remote working arrangements for any staff who have the ability to not be required at a physical site
- A company-wide successful trial has been completed with very minimal disruption; therefore, we are now instigating this as a permanent measure until further notice as of Monday, 23 March 2020.
Whilst remote working solutions are well advanced in this day and age, it does present its challenges. As a result, whilst we enjoy speaking and interacting with you and our extended community, calls to our office landlines are presenting us challenges. Your enquiry is very important to us, but wherever possible we encourage you to forward queries and orders to office@seedforce.com to allow us the best opportunity to attend to your needs or enquiries in a timely and efficient manner, and deliver you the best possible experience with our business.
As of today, landline phones will be diverted to our message bank service due to our remote working plan, and as a result will only be cleared at set intervals throughout the day with messages received being passed on to our relevant team member. We would be extremely grateful if you could assist, and if you do need or wish to speak with one of our attentive staff, our Territory Business Managers are well equipped in their remote offices on their mobile services, and will be best placed to handle your initial enquiry.
Our products
The current social disruption caused by the spread of COVID-19 is having impacts upon normal lean supply chain processes and set business routines, and in this uncertain environment, we want to get to market the seed you need and products are in very short supply. Our team and our supply chain partners are doing their best to deliver to expectation.
As a result, in an effort to best serve a market in short supply, we will be requesting our distribution partners to take stock that is available against a forward order commitment as soon as it is available.
Otherwise, we will release this product back to general consumption, to allow the opportunity for another farmer, who does need to sow a crop, the ability to reap rewards as we move through this situation together.
Our nation and the broader global community are reliant on the Australian agricultural community delivering on what we are renowned for; ingenuity and resilience delivering sustainable fodder, food and fibre in one of the most challenging and diverse environments on this earth.
This message is the first of what we envisage will be a series of communications and the entire team at Seed Force are here to help, serve and support however we can.
Thank you for all that you do, as together we are better.
