Madison, Wisconsin, USA
August 19, 2019

The Alliance of Crop, Soil, and Environmental Science Societies (ACSESS) seeks well‐qualified candidates for the position of CEO of ACSESS and its three founding societies. In
June 2019, Dr. Ellen Bergfeld announced that she will step down from the CEO role effective September 1, 2019.

The Alliance of Crop, Soil, and Environmental Science Societies is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization providing management and administrative support services to its founding members: the American Society of Agronomy (ASA), Crop Science Society of America (CSSA), and Soil Science Society of America (SSSA).

“ACSESS’ CEO is responsible for championing and leading the Societies and catalyzing support for their missions and programs,” said Board Chair Dr. Steven Evett. “Our board selected a leading national executive search firm, Kincannon & Reed, to conduct a thorough recruitment process. Kincannon & Reed is known for its expertise in recruiting senior executives to food, natural resource and agriculture clients around the globe.”

“Dr. Bergfeld has been an extraordinary leader to the organization. We are confident that executives with exceptional leadership skills and a passion for empowering scientists, educators, and practitioners will be inspired by the opportunity to take ACSESS to its next level of success in advancing science to improve the human condition,” said Dr. Evett.
