The recently launched PETKUS fine seed machinery segment got a considerable strengthening and complementation. The PETKUS Holding acquires a majority interest in a joint venture with Selecta Machinefabriek BV. For this purpose, a new corporation was started and named "PETKUS Selecta BV". Selecta will be relocated and will move closer to the new PETKUS Vegetable and Fine Seed Technology Centre in Zwaagdijk (NL).

The joint venture was the consequent step to complement the PETKUS portfolio and product range, and for Selecta to make full profit from the innovation and R&D department of the PETKUS Group. “We will strengthen our efforts in bringing innovative machinery to the market with special regard to the fine seed sector and the special needs of breeding stations and seed laboratories”, declared Ron Mourik, CEO of the new PETKUS Selecta BV, during the official announcement on the occasion of AgriTechnica 2017.

Selecta is specialized in manufacturing of high-quality seed cleaning and processing equipment for smaller to medium sized commercial seed lots, breeding stations and on laboratory scale. All over the world, the company is renowned for top quality products which are not made in mass production but carefully and precisely built by experts and thus, adapted to the specific demands of the user.

Die neu auf den Markt gebrachten Technologien für Gras- und Feinsaaten von PETKUS haben Verstärkung bekommen. Die PETKUS Holding beteiligt sich mehrheitlich an einem Gemeinschaftsunternehmen mit der Selecta Machinefabriek BV. Zu diesem Zweck wird eine neue Gesellschaft "PETKUS Selecta BV" gegründet. Selecta wird ihren bisherigen Standort verlegen und räumlich und inhaltlich näher an das neue PETKUS Gemüse- und Feinsamen-Technologiezentrum in Zwaagdijk (NL) heranrücken.

Die Beteiligung war für PETKUS der konsequente Schritt, Portfolio und Produktpalette zu vervollständigen, und für Selecta, um von der Innovations- und F&E-Kraft der PETKUS-Gruppe zu profitieren. „Wir werden unsere beiderseitigen Anstrengungen verstärken und unsere Expertisen bündeln, um innovative Maschinen auf den Markt zu bringen. Unser besonderes Augenmerk wird dabei auf den Feinsaatgutbereich und die besonderen Bedürfnisse von Zuchtstationen und Saatgutlabors liegen", erklärte Ron Mourik, CEO der neuen PETKUS Selecta BV, anlässlich der offiziellen Bekanntgabe während der AgriTechnica 2017.

Selecta ist spezialisiert auf die Herstellung von hochwertigen Saatgutreinigungs- und Aufbereitungsanlagen für kleinere bis mittlere kommerzielle Saatgutpartien, für Zuchtstationen und im Labormaßstab. Das Unternehmen ist weltweit bekannt für Produkte von höchster Qualität, die nicht in Massenproduktion hergestellt, sondern von Fachleuten sorgfältig und sehr präzise gefertigt und somit an die spezifischen Anforderungen des Anwenders angepasst werden.
