Seed World magazine has posted new video interviews taken at the International Seed Federation World Seed Congress, the American Seed Trade Association annual convention and the National Association of Plant Breeders annual meeting, as part of its Giant Views of the Industry video series. Housed on SeedWorld.com, the streaming video series offers four to five engaging video clips featuring industry leaders discussing issues of the American seed industry.
Topics discussed by top industry executives from the American Seed Trade Association,
Pioneer Hi-Bred, Applewood Seed, HM Clause, Monsanto Company, Syngenta and more
include plant breeding, intellectual property, regulatory updates, seed trade issues, trends
in the flower and vegetable industry and much more. Given today’s highly evolving
business landscape, these interviews provide valuable insight and information to everyone
involved in the U.S. seed trade.
“These informative clips tell a real story for anyone involved in the seed industry and even
the general public,” says Rita Mumm, president of NAPB. “The Giant Views clips are doing
wonders to help our organization get the word out about the importance of plant breeding
and current needs to ensure this vital capacity is maintained and flourishes.”
“This is a one-stop shop for people to explore what other industry leaders are saying about
the challenges and opportunities in the seed sector,” says Julie McNabb, editor of Seed
World. “The clips allow people to learn from what others are doing and also spread
valuable messages to the public.”
The Giant Views series takes ease of use to a new level by dividing each clip into one- to
two-minute segments which are titled for easy selection of a segment of interest. In
addition, the From the Floor series, an extension of Giant Views, includes video clips shot
“from the floor” at key industry events across the United States and globally which focus on
new products, equipment and resources industry suppliers are offering seed companies.
Seed World, published by Issues Ink, is a go-to resource for industry professionals who
require in-depth insight and analysis on the $7 billion American seed industry. With critical
information built from knowledge and experience going back to 1915, Seed World delivers
hard-hitting editorial to seed companies, brokers, distributors, plant breeders, retailers,
academic institutions and government.
