Well, I believe we
all witness the beneficial impact of the European Union, which
has opened new perspectives and opportunities for
development by creating a large area of free trade, where all
rules are the same and the flow of goods is unimpeded.
The forthcoming
expansion of the European Union should again create further
opportunies, even though it is unlikely to be free from
difficulties.
Overall, the
European evolution is decidely positive. One of the main
problems remains the fact that, as regulations are harmonized
between member countries, it is often the strictest
regulations that prevail. Understandably, this can make it
quite a bit more difficult to operate.
Nevertheless,
this evolution towards an ever larger free trade zone is being
welcomed by French and European seed companies. |
