With
only one type of coating material and a single coating liquid, the
coating process can be carried out with a basic equipment
configuration (one powder feeder, one liquid pump) and demand only
limited process control and safety & health precautions.
 However, in most cases a basic fungicide (e.g.
captan, thiram) and a final color are requested and additional
dosing equipment and precautions are needed.
When even more and higher rates of
pesticides (e.g. insecticides), including liquid formulations are
needed, the process is moving further away from a straight forward
simple enlargement operation.
Process handling and time thus can
easily increase and more sophisticated process control (e.g. PLC)
becomes vital for efficient and consistent production. |
