ALMACO to introduce new research plot technologies at upcoming field day

Nevada, Iowa
April 14, 2008

ALMACO will display their new technologies in planting, harvesting and seed processing equipment at an upcoming field day on June 24th in Nevada, Iowa.

ALMACO will be demonstrating its new Windows-based, precision planter control system, The SEEDPRO 360. This new operating system with touch screen interaction allows researchers to quickly and easily calibrate, operate, and change plot and field specifications with minimal inputs and adjustments. In addition it has a customized performance monitoring system that continuously reviews seed planting performance and data for further analysis. ALMACO will also demonstrate its Field Mapping Software that can be integrated into the 360 software. The Mapping software allows the client to preset desired plot lengths and seed populations in the office before planting.

ALMACO’s patented Global Positioning System (GPS) plot tripping technology marketed as SKYTRIP will be demonstrated in multiple applications in the field allowing users the ability to see the future of research plot planting.

ALMACO has developed a cable-less tripping system for use in the plot research arena that uses GPS information to accurately plant research plots when used in conjunction with their planting equipment. This user friendly technology provides greater efficiency during the planting process with less moving parts on the planters and a safer working environment. It can be used with both cone type planters, indexer planters, ALMACO SeedPro planter and is also available as a retrofit on existing planters.

ALMACO will also have walk through displays of the Automated Processing Line that includes the new MAIZER ear corn sheller. Along with the new Split CR940 split combine, Transgenic SPC40 Combine, 8 Row SeedPro 360 Planter and more!

ALMACO will have all technologies available for hands-on operation in the field from 10am to 3pm
on June 24th. Lunch will be provided free of charge. Registered* clients will also receive automatic entry
to Giveaways throughout the day.
