MAGMA - Blocky pepper
Suggestions for growing in greenhouse & net house
In order to facilitate your choice to grow our pepper variety Magma, we hereby present our recommendations. Once you choose the variety, we would be happy to assist you and send you more recommendations.

Basic Fertilization:
Fertilization should be given after the soil is checked. In areas that have been disinfected with Methyl Bromide, care should be taken to add phosphorus to the irrigation water at the rate of 30 gr. Phosphorus (P) to every cubic meter of water in the initial growing stages. It is desirable to fertilize with 40-50 m3 compost of cow dung. One should take into account the connection between an over abundance of physiological blemishes and deficient color in the fruit.

Structure:
Magma pepper should be grown in greenhouse or net house. Black or white net with 25% shade is suggested for net houses. White net repels leaf insects but has a shorter life span than the black net.

Preparation of Seedlings:
It is important to plant strong, healthy seedlings with an extensive root system. To achieve this, seeds should be sown in trays with cells of 24 cm3 (1,25"). When planting "older" seedlings, those that have been kept at the nursery longer than usual, it is possible that there will be a delay in growth and development of new roots. Before planting, roots should be sprayed against aphids and spider mite.
