Product Development Specialist, Southeastern Region USA

Do you have a passion for agriculture? Are you interested in providing technical support and evaluating seed trials? Do you have experience in product development or production in the seed business? If so, you are the Production Development Specialist we are looking for to join our Southeast Rijk Zwaan USA Team.

What are the responsibilities of the Product Development Specialist at Rijk Zwaan USA?

The Product Development Specialist is responsible for developing Rijk Zwaan seed business in our Southeast/East Coast Region USA. Within this role, you are responsible for organizing and following variety trials in consultation with Rijk Zwaan staff, distributors, growers and cooperating companies with a focus on vegetables. In addition, you are also responsible for product introductions and commercial sales activities for the Rijk Zwaan open field product line in the Southeastern USA.

We are seeking a Product Development Specialist with the following criteria:

  • BS, or higher in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in agriculture, seed business, production, or related field.
  • Strong technical knowledge in regional vegetable crop production practices
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Ability to develop good long-term industry relationships
  • Team oriented
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently
  • Remote Based with Travel within the Southeast Region USA required
