RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Research Development: 
  Assist in the development of plant varieties through disease screening and selection. 
  Collaborate with Plant Breeder and Assistant to achieving program objectives.
• Assist in daily greenhouse care: 
  General facility maintenance.
  General plant maintenance, seeding, fertilizing, watering, pruning, hand pollination, transplanting, seed collection and data collection.
  Monitor and report insect and disease problems.
• Field Work:
  Assist in planting field trials, including organizing seeds and flagging field.
  Assist in field crosses, including fruit harvest and seed extraction.
  Rogue Stock Seed field as directed.
• Lab:
  Assist as directed by individual breeder program.

REQUIREMENTS:

Patience, fine motor skills, dexterity, attention to detail, good with numbers.
Capable of manual field labor.
