Job description

You will be a great fit if you have experience similar to:

  • Assist the Regional Production Manager to assure that the quantity and quality of seed are maintained and produced so as to meet the Business Unit’s requirements, in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Develop and maintain working relationship with area seed producers.
  • Contract seed crops with area growers to meet company release quantity and quality.
  • Assist the grower with crop management, protection and quality issues.
  • Assist and support field production functions, genetic maintenance, shipping and receiving.
  • Develop reports, maintain a field book; communicate with colleagues, Producers, PCAs, and State Ag Inspectors.

Skills required:

  • Vegetable seed production knowledge needed.
  • Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Highly self-motivated individual, with a high level of time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work outdoors even in adverse weather conditions.
  • Ability to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.

What we expect of you

To be considered, you will need:

  • BS Agriculture related degree, or minimum of 5 years experience in vegetable seed production.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft systems (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • English language fluency required; Spanish language fluency a plus.
