SUMMER SQUASH

Delta

Alexandria

Alexandria is a very productive Eskenderany type summer squash hybrid with a very strong plant, a semi-erect single stem, and an open habit allowing for easy picking. Compared to leading varieties, the fruit has a more color, mottles, and a cylindrical shape. This hybrid has resistance to ZYMV/WMV and tolerance to Powdery Mildew and low temperature. Edible in about 40 days after sowing and suitable for the Mid-Eastern, Russian, and Asian markets.

Deema

Deema is a high yielding, early, virus tolerant Anita type squash. The strong plant has a semi-erect single stem and open habit for easy picking. The fruit has a pale color and nice tapered shape with a small blossom scar. Yield studies have shown that it out yields commercial varieties by 30%!

WINTER SQUASH

Avalon

Butternut is our favorite squash, and Avalon is our favorite butternut. More uniformly shaped than other butternuts, with some natural tolerance to mildew. Compare to Butternut Supreme or your favorite butternut.

Frisco

Frisco is a hybrid butternut with large size and nice, orange flesh. Frisco matures in approximately 90 days in Rocky Ford, Colorado. With a thicker and longer neck, it is approximately 20% larger than our popular variety, Avalon (4.5-5.5 lbs, 8 x 3.5 in). The uniformly shaped fruit have a strong, attractive tan rind. The flesh is a bright orange, high in dry matter and sweet.

Victory

Victory is a new uniform butternut bred specifically for the fresh market trade. Not too large, not too small, the fruit average 2.5 lbs (1.2 kg) and are about 7 inches long (18 cm). The attractive tan skin and classic butternut shape add to this variety’s display appeal. The flesh is fine textured, deep orange, and sweet. Earliness is an added bonus along with a high marketable fruit number per plant. Victory will vanquish the competition.

Ultra HP

When tonnage and return on investment count, Ultra HP F1 is your best choice. This hybrid is for processing, dehydrating or freezing. The fruit are variable in shape, often curved. The flesh is fine and sweet, dark orange in color. The skin is buff like butternut. Under summer (long day) conditions this hybrid has more curved necks than Ultra.

Reno

RENO is a classically shaped Acorn squash with moderate furrows and a dependable dark green color. The strong single stem bush plant is very productive. The fruit have golden yellow flesh that is fine textured with a sweet nutty flavor. If you grow Reno, it won’t be a gamble!

Pinnacle

Pinnacle is a new Vegetable Spaghetti from Hollar Seeds that will supply your customers with a better and more profitable product. With a semi-bush plant habit, it allows for higher plant densities and greater yeilds per acre. The fruit ripen to an appealing bright yellow color and the internal quality is excellent. The spaghetti strands are fine and have the nutty flavor of true Spaghetti Squash.
