For our growing team in Marne, we are looking for an innovative colleage Plant Breeder Creative with international orientation

We are enlarging our team at the breeding station in Marne (Schleswig-Holstein, Germany) and are seeking a Plant Breeder to develop new varieties for the global head cabbage market.

Your primary workplace is at our breeding station in Marne. Additionally, you are in close and regular contact with our colleagues in the Netherlands and in charge of cultivation trials at other locations within and outside Europe. Extensive travelling is therefore required.

The responsibilities of a breeder are very varied and the work is carried out in the field, greenhouse and office. After a familiarization phase, you will take on individual responsibility for a specific breeding program.

The job requires a university or university of applied sciences degree in horticulture with the focus on plant breeding.
Furthermore, you should have a minimum of three years’ experience in practical plant breeding including basic knowledge of breeding programs and processes.
As you as a breeder are a member of our breeding team headed by a team leader, you are a team player and strong communicator.
Basic knowledge of German and, due to the international involvement within the company, fluent English both spoken and written are required.
