Job Description
What will you do?
- Walk many plots to estimate the emergence quality and early season vigor of our late-stage hybrids.
- Collect many drone flights early in the season to better capture data from targeted locations with the objective of delivering a new index for emergence quality and early season vigor.
- Subjectively rating plots to estimate these traits for our commercial ratings
- Collect data across as many locations as possible using different measure (RGB, Imagery, Lidar, …).
- Analyze data to determine how best to put an index together for objectively measuring these characteristic traits.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in plant breeding, agronomy, seeds production research or precision agronomy
- Must be a current student continuing education upon completion of internship term
- A valid driver’s license and acceptable moving violations record

- Intermediate to advanced statistical analysis skills with regard to phenotypic data
- Knowledge of agronomics and plant breeding
- Fluency in at least one computing language or software
