As part of our growth strategy and our plans, KWS Vegetables is looking for a hands-on Trade Compliance Officer, based at our location of Pop Vriend Seeds in Andijk. the Netherlands. In this new role you maintain a current and complete understanding of worldwide import/export regulations of genetic material. You act as the compliance interface to all internal and external business partners. You will report to the Customer Lead.
Your tasks:
- Manage regulatory issues impacting import and export of genetics (seeds/plants/plant parts/pathogens/DNA)
- Develop expertise on regulatory issues on import permits, phytosanitary and seed treatments to support routine imports and exports of genetics
- Leading / participating in working group(s) to organize internal processes and implementing relevant regulatory decisions to meet seed movement requirements
Your profile:
- A minimum of a bachelor degree in Agricultural Business Administration / International Trade
- Preferably 5 or more years’ experience in international seed industry, preferable in vegetables seeds
- Proven experience with Trade Compliance subjects
- Fluent English and Dutch in word and writing
- You are analytical, result orientated, self-organized and pro-active
