EarthWork Seeds (EWS) is a vegetable germplasm development company based in Davis, California. EWS focuses on breeding, production, and wholesale distribution of high quality vegetable cultivars across a diverse range of crops and countries.

We are seeking to fill a newly created Operation manager role. This position will report to EWS General Manager.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Process orders received from domestic or international customers and sales. Ensure proper communication between sales staff, customers and production sharing accurate information in timely matter.
• Continuous monitoring of all orders to ensure on time delivery to meet customer’s expectations.
• Execute order processing by managing export documentation and all logistics requirements.
• Manage end to end process of account payable and receivables in the system software with support of Gowan Company accounting department.
• Support the forecasting process in coordination with sales team.
• Manage inventories as well as lab information on quality seed and validate that forecast can be met, communicate to the appropriate stakeholder in case if any deviation or unplanned event.
• Process sales, accounts receivable, inventory and operational expense reports to management in monthly basis.
• Maintain updated and accurate information regarding customers and country requirements.
• Ensure implementation of Gowan Company and Federal and State policies in coordination with Yuma Human Resources for EWS facilities.
• Support Gowan Co HR department with any topic regarding HR such as payroll, benefit administration, procedures.
• Manage car fleet, insurance, cellphones and all facility needs in coordination with Gowan Company.
• Support any additional needs to grow our business.

Profile:

• • Bachelor's degree in Business or Agriculture or equivalent
  • 3 – 5 years' experience in customer service
  • Experience in seeds industry
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Excellent oral and written skills
  • Must be proficient in English; Spanish a plus
  • Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, Outlook and Access experience
