YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Entomology Intern, are to:
- Help develop insect pest/beneficial population maps based on collected data and GIS referencing
- Work with agronomy leaders to understand refugia area requirements and deployment techniques
- Gain exposure and provide recommendations on how controlled environment differs from field adoption techniques.
- Provide insights into beneficial control and thresholds that allow for reduced pesticides and worker safety focus.
The work will offer opportunity to understand and learn about Bayer’s internal processes and structure to gain as much knowledge as possible in various parts of the organization. A foundation for effective networking and long-term relationships within the Bayer Vegetable R&D and Crop Science community.

Required Qualifications:
- Current enrollment in M.S. program or above with focus on Entomology, Biology, Zoology, Crop Production, or related fields.
- Detail and results-oriented individual with the ability to work independently and effectively.
- Strong motivational, organizational, and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
- Ability to communicate complex analyses in a clear, precise, and actionable manner.
- Willingness to relocate to Woodland, CA for the duration of the summer internship
- 3.0 or above cumulative GPA.
- Must be returning to school to continue program of study following completion of this internship.
