USA - Independent Professional Seed Association launches IPSA Advantage software
Omaha, Nebraska, USA
October 11, 2010
The Independent Professional Seed Association (IPSA), in conjunction with Darrough Consulting Services, LLC (DCS, LLC) of St. Louis, MO, is offering a fully functional and complete inventory and sales software system allowing seed companies to manage their operations in real time with one easy-to-use program.
IPSA Advantage Version 1 is available and has been well received by seedsmen. The software is already being used by several IPSA member companies.
Danielle Darrough, owner of DCS, LLC, specializes in trait and genetic reporting, and as a result, has a unique understanding of the increasingly complicated requirements that seed companies are challenged to meet. A webinar demonstration will follow the October release and Danielle will be conducting live demos at the IPSA booth (#139) in the Seed Expo at the ASTA Corn, Soybean and Sorgum meeting, which takes place at the Hyatt Regency Chicago Dec. 7th - 10th, 2010. The development of Version 2 will begin immediately and will include a component that allows IPSA Advantage to interact with the user's current accounting software.
IPSA Advantage manages seed company business components as well as providing the user with a customer relationship management tool. The business components house data through each phase of Inventory-from production to finished goods-including the ordering process, invoicing, and deliveries that track and trace seed lots to the field/farm level. Information located in the customer management module affords seed companies the opportunity to create and develop those customer relationships that will drive your business today and into the future. The software can be customized specifically for each company using their own terminology and branding.
As an IPSA member, DCS, LLC is deeply committed to helping seed companies successfully manage their businesses today, while preparing to meet the challenges of tomorrow. Keeping costs low and flexibility high has been the number one priority for this software development effort. Because IPSA owns IPSA Advantage, members can take advantage of lower prices for implementation and maintenance. The cost is scalable based on the size of the company, ranging from $5,000 - $8,500 for implementation and $1,500 -$3,000 for yearly maintenance.

A webinar demonstration can be scheduled as needed to address any questions.
The Independent Professional Seed Association (IPSA) was formed in 1989 by a group of independent seed producers who recognized the need for an organization to represent independent seed companies world-wide. The Association addresses research and biotechnology issues and increases the media presence of the industry in an increasingly competitive and dynamic business climate. IPSA represents nearly 100 seed companies from 20 states and Canada, who produce a significant portion of the corn, soybeans, small grain and forage seeds marketed annually.
