A strong choice for early plantings with excellent yield potential
Sweet Ice is Harris Moran’s first white Sweet Breed™ variety and a strong choice for early plantings.

SweetBreed_logo.gif (1097 bytes) Sweet Ice has outstanding overall quality with a strong plant and a refined ear. Sweet Ice features early, mid-season maturity and Sweet Breed™ performance. With better genetic seed quality than most se and sh2 varieties, this Sweet Breed™ variety gives you the potential for good stand establishment and top yields.

Sweet Ice matures an attractive 7.5” - 8” ear in about 74 days. The husk has good color and nice flags for consumer appeal and brisk sales. Very good husk cover protects the ear from damage to produce a more consistent product.
Sweet Ice has shown moderate tolerance to Stewart’s Wilt and Common Smut, key qualities for a mid-early. Ears pick easy and are well placed to reduce harvest labor. Sweet Ice is an excellent overall hybrid with high scores in the field, at the store and on the table.

Isolate from sh2 and field corn. Sweet Breed™ varieties can be planted with su and se varieties but will develop best flavor if grown separately. Watch for full maturity to get maximum se and sh2 eating quality.
