Pioneer Hi-Bred International,
Inc., has announced that it has dismissed its suit in the U.S. District Court of the Eastern District of Wisconsin against
American Ag-Tec International, Ltd. Pioneer has withdrawn with prejudice its allegations against American Ag-Tec of violations of intellectual
property rights under the Plant Variety Protection Act of 1970 and the Wisconsin Trade Secrets Act, and its allegations of
patent infringements. American Ag-Tec had previously denied the charges.
After formal response to these charges from American Ag-Tec International, Ltd's President, Mr. Robert G. Britt, Pioneer
acknowledges that information produced by American Ag-Tec showed it had only exported U.S. produced seed grown
by American seed companies, and was not attempting to export seed unlawfully developed with Pioneer germplasm.
