official certificate for the permanent full registration of
REGENT® 50 SC in rice and cabbage from the Ministry of
Agriculture of the Peoples Republic of China.
REGENT
® (common name fipronil) is one of
the company's global key growth drivers. Active at very low dose
rates, REGENT ®
provides an outstanding level of control in a wide variety of
rice pests, as well a number of other significant agricultural
and household pests.
The registration will allow production and
distribution to be directly managed by Aventis CropScience
HangZhou, a joint venture between Aventis CropScience and
HangZhou General Pesticide Plant. Local production will start
shortly at the HangZhou site.

of China’s rice crop and will support Aventis CropScience's
expansion in the Chinese crop protection marke t."
