Aventis
CropScience has released its Year 2000 seed Guide, which includes
a complete list of currently available Liberty Link and warranted
hybrids tolerant to Liberty Herbicide, "This seed guide
represents the most complete corn hybrid portfolio for the Liberty
Link system yet," notes Greig Zamecnik, Liberty Link Product
Manager for Aventis. "The Liberty Link system is providing corn
producers with new levels of performance given outstanding crop
safety, excellent weed control, and higher yields"
Zamecnik notes that the vast majority
of Liberty Link hybrids have received regulatory clearance in Europe.
"The fact that the majority of Liberty Link hybrids marketed by
our seed partners are approved by the EU provides our customers with
the assurance they have been looking for in terms of marketing
flexibility.''
He also notes that hybrids are
available both with and without Bt insect control technology.
"This provides producers with the option of using the Liberty
Link system on both the Bt and refuge acres."
