Continuing its investment in
agriculture, Syngenta is
sponsoring the popular recall training course in Salinas,
Calif., offered by the
United Fresh Research & Education Foundation. This course is
specifically designed for the produce industry to help companies
prepare for and defend against the backlash a product recall can
cause. Syngenta is sponsoring this course because it knows it is
critical for companies to be prepared in the event of a recall.
The “Training for Recall, Communicating Under Fire”
training program will be held May 27 – 29 in Salinas,
California. The recall/crisis management course will be held
May 27 – 28 and media training will take place May 28 – 29.
Similar seminars, also sponsored by Syngenta, will be held in
Florida in October.
This hands-on training program focuses on helping companies
understand the fundamentals of a product recall, including the
business’ responsibilities, the role of the Food and Drug
Administration (FDA), how to limit the organization’s liability
and manage customer expectations. In addition, the seminar
offers an in-depth look at how to build a customized
communication plan in the event of a recall, and explains how to
effectively communicate to the industry, customers, consumers
and the media.
In addition to the course, a customized media training session
is available. A separate registration is required for this
event, which will prepare companies for an interview so they
know what to expect in the real situation.
The registration fee for the two-day recall training program
includes two continental breakfasts, two lunches and all program
materials. The registration fee for the media training includes
the customized media training and breakfast on day three of the
program.
Companies looking for more information, additional updates on
registration rates or group discounts, or to register for the
