Plant Mapping is becoming an
important management tool available to Cotton Growers and
Consultants to monitor the rate of development as well as give
an indication of yield potential.
The introduction of BollgardII cotton has taken the scouting
emphasis away from primarily insect management, and has made the
task on plant mapping a little easier. Tipped out plants made
the data generated from plant mapping unreliable, thus data
generated was of little practical use and therefore time spent
collecting this data was wasted.
