Syngenta Crop
Protection today announced the United States Environmental
Protection Agency registration of Inspire® XT fungicide for use
on sugarbeets. Inspire XT replaces Inspire® SB and controls
Cercospora leaf spot and powdery mildew, two very damaging
sugarbeet diseases. State registrations are still pending in
certain states. Check with your state regulatory agency to
determine registration status.
“By combining difenoconazole and propiconazole into one product,
we’re able to offer sugarbeet growers improved disease control,”
said David Laird, fungicide brand manager at Syngenta. “By
combining two triazoles, this product offers robust, broad
spectrum disease control.”
The combination of these two active ingredients provides users
with long-lasting control of Cercospora leaf spot and powdery
mildew due to translaminar and xylem-systemic activity. Both
active ingredients have preventive and curative properties that
give growers flexibility in application timing. Inspire XT
offers a short 12-hour Restricted-entry Interval (REI) and a
variety of application methods.
“Following the successful introduction of Inspire SB to the
sugarbeet market, Syngenta is eager to get this new, enhanced
product to growers. We believe that Inspire XT will become an
integral part of sugarbeet disease management,” said Laird.
Inspire XT is another way Syngenta Crop Protection, Seed Care
and Syngenta Seeds/Hilleshög use their combined 100-plus years
of experience providing cutting-edge innovation to the sugarbeet
industry.
