Syngenta Crop Protection today announced that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has approved Inspire™ SB fungicide for use on sugarbeets to control Cercospora leaf spot and powdery mildew. Inspire SB, an Inspire™ brand product, contains the active ingredient difenoconazole and provides preventive and curative activity on sugarbeets. State registrations or specific crop and/or pest uses may still be pending in certain states. Check with your state regulatory agency to determine registration status.

“Inspire SB, containing difenoconazole, shows real promise for sugarbeet growers. It offers long-lasting disease protection and is an excellent rotational partner," said David Laird, fungicide brand manager for Syngenta.

Inspire SB will offer flexible application methods, low use rates, superior rainfastness and translaminar movement to provide superior control of Cercospora leaf spot and powdery mildew in sugarbeets.

“Difenoconazole, used extensively for more than two decades in 96 countries, is one of the most powerful triazole fungicides available,” said Laird. “It offers efficacy at low use rates, promoting crop safety.
