Monsanto Canada has been selected as one of Canada's "Top
100 Employers" by Maclean's magazine in its annual survey of
Canadian businesses. The Maclean's listing was released in a
special edition of the magazine dated Oct. 15, 2007 that hit
news stands today.
Canada's Top 100 Employers designation recognizes the Canadian
employers that lead their industries in offering exceptional
places to work. The MacLean's listing ranks employers based on a
nation-wide survey, an application process and analysis of
compensation levels, work/life balance, training opportunities,
workplace facilities and company benefits. Considered the most
in-depth analysis of human resource trends in Canada's private
and public sectors, the top businesses were selected after a
12-month review and investigation of over 1,800 applicant
companies.
"This is the first time Monsanto has participated in the
Maclean's process and clearly, we are pleased to be recognized
in this way," said Sean Gardner, vice-president and general
manager of Monsanto Canada. "One of our Monsanto Pledge
principles is to create a great place to work. This recognition
confirms we are doing the right things to attract top talent,
motivate and develop our people, service our customers and
create a positive atmosphere where our people and our company
can succeed."
In addition to the recognition offered by MacLean's magazine,
the Winnipeg Free Press will also recognize Monsanto Canada in
its special tabloid supplement that will recognize the Top 15
Manitoba companies featured in the MacLean's Top 100 Employers.
This special supplement will appear in the Oct. 13, 2007 edition
of the Winnipeg Free Press - home of Monsanto Canada's head
office.
