Enhanced FarmAssist.com web site provides growers customized tools, information

Up-to-the-minute customized crop news and local weather forecasts are only a click away thanks to the redesigned FarmAssist.com® web site developed by Syngenta Crop Protection.  The updated FarmAssist.com web site provides growers with improved access to a broad range of agricultural resources including valuable agronomic calculators, pest identification and tracking tools, crop protection product information, exclusive daily news and commentary, commodity prices, weather and more.

“The new design is easier to navigate and offers growers everything they need in one place, customized to their needs and available 24 hours a day,” said Teresa McNeal, Syngenta Internet marketing manager.  “The new site presents growers with information specific to their everyday farming decisions, as well as current agronomic news and commodity information updated daily, if not more frequently.”

After registering for the free site, members will receive information specific to their interests, business and agronomic needs.  Improvements to the redesigned web site include customized weather from AccuWeather, consisting of detailed local weather forecasts and maps, looping radar, precipitation, temperature and degree-day maps.   In addition to improved weather information, FarmAssist.com offers growers unique management tools including interactive calculators to aid in management decisions on everything from the farm bill and machinery to planting, crop protection and pest management.

As Syngenta continues to make web site enhancements, look for additional improvements including new weather capabilities for computer desktops.
