El website en español del Servicio de Investigación Agrícola (ARS) recientemente pasó por modificaciones importantes que lo hace más útil a cualquier persona que busca noticias científicas y otra información sobre ARS.

Disponible en www.ars.usda.gov/espanol, el website en español se pone al día cada día del trabajo con los últimos artículos sobre ARS. Nuevas herramientas de búsqueda permiten a los visitantes de habla hispana a encontrar más fácilmente los artículos particulares, científicos, laboratorios, productos y servicios del ARS, e información sobre empleo. Los utilizadores también pueden enviar, por correo electrónico, sus preguntas y comentarios sobre ARS al personal de noticias del ARS en InfoEnEspanol@ars.usda.gov.

Visitantes al área "Noticias" en el website pueden suscribirse a noticias en español entregadas por correo electrónico cada día del trabajo o semanalmente. Se puede buscar entre más de 1.100 artículos en español en el archivo, con temas desde nutrición humana a la seguridad de alimentos, investigaciones de cosechas y animales, y la conservación del suelo.

También hay un website llamado "Ciencia Para Niños", disponible en www.ars.usda.gov/espanol/kids y dedicado a la educación científica de los niños de edades entre 7 a 13 años. Este website ofrece docenas de historias sobre ciencia agrícola, un catálogo de carreras en ciencia, y aun una lista de ideas para los proyectos científicos.

También disponible en el website hay traducciones de historias seleccionadas de la revista 'Agricultural Research'.

Los utilizadores del website pueden buscar y bajar de un archivo de miles de fotos de resolución baja y alta en una variedad de categorías, incluyendo animales, cosechas, educación, frutas y verduras, insectos y plantas.

ARS es la agencia principal de investigaciones científicas del Departamento de Agricultura de EE.UU.

The Spanish-language website of the Agricultural Research Service (ARS) recently received a major facelift that makes it more user-friendly to anyone searching for scientific news and other ARS information.

Available at www.ars.usda.gov/espanol, the Spanish-language website is updated every business day with the latest ARS news. New search tools allow Spanish-speaking visitors to more easily find particular news stories, scientists, laboratories, ARS products and services, and employment information. They can also e-mail questions and comments about ARS to the Spanish-speaking ARS news staff at InfoEnEspanol@ars.usda.gov. 

Visitors to the "Noticias" (news) area of the site can sign up for Spanish-language news delivered by e-mail every business day or once weekly. More than 1,100 Spanish-language news stories are searchable in the archive section, with topics ranging from nutrition to food safety, crop and animal research, and soil conservation.

There's also a "Ciencia Para Niños" (Science for Kids) website, available at www.ars.usda.gov/espanol/kids,  dedicated to science education for children from about 7 to 13 years old. This website contains dozens of stories about agricultural science, a catalog of science careers and even a list of science project ideas.

Also available on the Spanish-language website are translations of selected stories from Agricultural Research magazine.

Users can search and download from an archive of thousands of low- and high-resolution photographs in a variety of categories, including animals, crops, education, fruits and vegetables, insects and plants.
