The most popular suite of cotton
varieties in Australia is the Sicot 71 family. These varieties
contribute to a high proportion of the irrigated cotton planting
this season. Remarkable yields were achieved last season and
have raised the bar in regard to yield targets set by some
growers. The CSD Extension
and Development Team conducted analysis of the variety trial
program and high yielding crops to get a further understanding
of the yield potential of these varieties.
